Anyone know the real reason why there is an organised mass protest against the President of the United States visit to the UK, and what organisations are behind these protests?

"people protesting over Americas president being invited to the UK make me ashamed of my country".

Shame such a petty thing breaks your pride in your beloved land. Mush of not had that much pride if such a little, petty protest can knock it down for ya.
Not sure if I have done anything for Brittania to be proud of but I know that I can be proud that Brittania is not North Korea, or Tiananmen Square or we and the rest of Europe are not speaking German.
spath - you do realise that when you are on one of your childish rants, I take no notice of you whatsoever and never will.
Well that answer contradicts that answer, HereIAm...
"childish rants".. Think they're not rants, they're well structured points. Maybe if you read them instead of taking no notice, you'd notice that.
Have you heard of D-Day, spath? WW2?
HereIam/Retrocop, you're wasting your breath. Spath has no idea what you're talking about.
"Have you heard of D-Day, spath? WW2?"

Yes they make me so proud.
And vice versa Naomi.
Naomi, it's they who have no clue what i'm talking about, considering we're talking about my point, not theirs. 12:02 Mon 03rd Jun 2019

I know. He is your typical armchair anarchist who loads the bullets for others to fire.
naomi - he has no idea what HE'S talking about, never mind anybody else !
I think you need to consider your discussion manors. Talking about people as if they are not in the conversation is antagonistic, and rather rude.
HereIAm, you literally just said you take no notice, so we all know you're either lying, or you take no notice so you have no idea what we're on about.
Try mature up a bit and quit the juvenile pops, then maybe you can notice what i'm saying, and quit with the moot answers that just divert discussion.
Spath, what do you mean? Like when you asked ‘why invite the guy’? Why indeed invite the leader of a country that is our most powerful ally. Why not make an enemy of him? Diplomacy at its finest!
Invite the president, yes. However in this case, the president has all the features highlighted at 09:45 Mon 03rd Jun 2019. This changes the situation from being "the president of the USA" to it being "Donald Trump".

The gov can do as they wish.. And the people can protest as they see fit. It's all fair, and not embarrassing in the slightest. The only embarrassment is the govs incompetence we've all seen over the past couple of years.

Almost every time you enter a serious thread your posts are antagonistic and confrontational. I won't call you a troll, as some have, but you are a wind up merchant and consistently post either out of ignorance, stupidity or both.
The 'real reason' for the mass protests is that there are people who feel quite strongly that he shouldn't be here because of his misogynistic views / comments and lots of other stuff which has been well documented on here and in the press.
If it's so serious we best get back to the topic retro.
