/// Mr Thompson expressed his 'increasing concern' over the rhetoric of the demonstrations, and said a number of criminal offences had been committed outside the school since Sunday night. ///

/// The force received reports at 9.30pm on Sunday of assault and criminal damage on Dennis Road in Moseley, as well as reports of malicious communications received by the school on Thursday. ///

I think I know....
If the police have received reports of assault and criminal damage, perhaps there have been arrests. I would hope so.
Course they have a choice.. The choice to home school ur kid, or to let the state school them. It literally is that simple.
"Why Have There Not Been Any Arrests Over This Escalating, Homophobic And Disruptive Protest?"

What have they done that is illegal?

"The city council has also said it is looking into whether it can use a public space protection order to move demonstrations away from the school."

If this is put in place, then arrests could be made.

You want to arrest these people.. then what? Exactly, waste of money.

You moan about people being murdered in the capital but you want police time to be wasted on this nonsense?

These protesters need to know, it was their choice to send their kids to this school. If they want to teach their kids, they can home school them.
But they want the State to educate them but only in line with their beliefs. We're back to what we discussed the other day. I agree it is not rape we're discussing this time, but it is the attempt to secure differential treatment based on "belief" or "culture" or "religion" (call it what you will).
//What have they done that is illegal? //

The police have received reports of assault and criminal damage - both illegal.
It would be good to remember these protesters are in such a minority, they just speak very loudly.
spath, I presume you mean the Muslim parents who are protesting. They're not in the minority. The make up the vast majority of the protestors - of not all of them.
*if* not all of them.
// it is the attempt to secure differential treatment based on "belief" or "culture" or "religion //

It is exactly that, and as such should be completely disregarded.

Hardly a minority, when it comes Muslims protesting in schools across the country.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-48351401

/// An investigation by BBC Newsnight found letters opposing the teaching of relationships and sex education (RSE) and LGBT equality had been sent to schools across the country. ///

/// Schools in Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Croydon, Ealing, Manchester, Northampton and Nottingham had received the letters from conservative Muslims. ///

'Conservative Muslims', that's a new one.
"I presume you mean the Muslim parents who are protesting. "

Lets assume there are 1000 protesters outside this school.(massive over exaggeration) Compared to the Muslim community - That is nothing. Yes they are hugely in the minority.
"Hardly a minority, when it comes Muslims protesting in schools across the country. "

How many Muslims in the UK? How many are protesting outside school?

Yes, the protesters are in the minority.
Arrest them and what will happen? I'd like to bet that hundreds of Muslims would descend on this area and start protesting against the arrests. There won't be enough police cells to accommodate them all.
A nice change to see you sticking up for the LGBT community, AOG.

I can help but notice though that these threads are largely ignored by the usual protectors of the LGBT community.

It would be silly to say that the Muslims outside these schools are in a minority compared to the whole number of Muslims in the UK.

But they are definitely in the majority outside the schools where they send their children.
//It would be good to remember these protesters are in such a minority, //

There were only 21 out of 354 local authorities in England where the proportion of self-described Christians was lower than that of Birmingham. There were only six authorities with a higher percentage of Muslims. Birmingham's total Muslim population of 140,033 was the highest of any local authority area

Did you mention you lived in the Midlands Spath?
"It would be silly to say that the Muslims outside these schools are in a minority compared to the whole number of Muslims in the UK.
"

No it wouldn't, because that is factual. It would only be silly because it doesn't fit into your agendas.

That has nothing to do with my point on this thread.
