We were talking about this today, there is no financial gain for the vandals and they are hurting people that they, probably, don't even know. It is just pure 'badness' (a word my mother used). No punishment can cover the anguish these guys felt when their train sets were trashed.

There were men crying on a report that I saw - I don't blame them. They probably spent years making the layout.

What a nasty, spiteful, thing to do. Innocent enjoyment for so many stopped and the work so lovingly put into making these models by the enthusiasts just trashed.

I was heartbroken when I read this......I'm pleased that so much has been raised and hope it helps but all the years of work and pleasure can't be replaced.
I hope that somehow those responsible are named.
It's beyond me how they could have done that and I don't understand either, Sqad......but even worse, I find it scary.

Destroying something that was loved and cherished for the pleasure in hurting others. This should be paid for with pain and anguish, financially and with public exposure of those responsible for this despicable act of cruelty. I’m with you Sqad, I hate many things that are excepted today as common place, and mourn the passing of decent moral values.
