This is the doctor who ask a mother to lift her veil so he could hear clearly what she was telling him about her child's symptoms. I believe it is her husband who is complaining, not his wife.

Because for the husband, another man demanding to remove the veil is inappropriate. Anyone asking someones wife to take off items of clothes is inappropriate. If the doc can't hear through a thin veil, then maybe his hearing isn't up to scratch to be a doctor. He seems to have been able to understand other Muslim women with veils, so why not this one? The veil had nothing to do with if he could hear her or not. If it did, this issue would have surfaced before. Doc is ignorant assuming it's the veil making it hard for him to understand and he was out of order to ask her to remove it. That's just my opinion.

That’s by the way. Why should a doctor in the UK suffer an enquiry into his behaviour because a woman’s husband complained that he had asked her to remove her face mask? There are plenty of places in the world where doctors will be more than willing to accommodate such nonsense. The UK should not be one of them and the woman’s husband should be told that the best thing to do if he wants his ridiculous ancient and misogynistic views indulged he should live elsewhere.
