I’m inclined to back Mr Farage on this: he’s already fled one car crash known as UKIP: that’s enough for anyone :-)

// If Nigel Farage travels in a BA Airbus and the aircraft crashes are you so bigoted to blame him for that as well?//

post hoc ergo propter hoc

o god watch out retro - ni will be after you for these ancient forrin ideas !
//a publican has an almost unfettered right to say who does and who doesnt drink at his pub innit ?//
I agree. Under the circumstances Nigel Farage hadn't misbehaved in the licensee's premises and was not responsible for the RTC so the reason why he was barred from entering and drinking in the pub stinks and smacks of a gobby Landlord who want''s his 15 mins of fame. I am sure with Mr Farage's pedigree he is welcome in better pubs who serve better ale by a more convivial 'Mine Host' who isn't out to make a fast buck.
they are all in it for the money - no not st nige -
it is a pub for chrissakes
not a hostel for unmarried muvvuz - that comes later I suppose
Had Nige actually been drinking in this landlord's pub?
LOL, judging by the reviews the landlord has done Nige a favour by banning him.
Some interesting reviews from both after and before the "Incident".
To be fair the reviews from the last day have been trolls and shouldn’t be taken seriously.
A good job comments are timed - some folk have no shame.
The reading of the reviews is quite similar to reading some AB threads: Interesting, amusing and sometimes appealingly contentious...We don't all quaff the same type of brew.
erm trolling on Facebook is expected innit
like here on AB people insisting they dont do forrin when - - they do

I mean if a palace watcher said on the internet prince archie ( bless the little mite and I am not prejudiced! ) had grown another head and a pair of wings
we wouldnt necessarily believe them er would we ?

"
//Maybe Farage is at fault, maybe someone out for publicity,//

How do you work that one out? May be the Jaguar driver is at fault.
If Nigel Farage travels in a BA Airbus and the aircraft crashes are you so bigoted to blame him for that as well?

Eh??
I'm not blaming him, as I thought I had made clear (obviously not clear enough :-) )
// //Maybe Farage is at fault, maybe someone out for publicity,//

I thought the publican was miffed because he ( St Nige - you know he does miracles innit?) didnt stick around and fuss around the 13 m kid
you know mwah mwah mwah - lovelhy kid - do you have a camera ? etc

[ especially if he said instead - o god I am gonna be late for my programme - is my make-up squeeshed? I doan wanna look like anne widders ]
Trumpesque? Robinsonesque? More like Burlesque! Farage is scaring the hell out of his opponents – and it shows. Happy days. :o)
naomi
Isn't that the fact of the matter. We have our resident AB Legal eagle telling us of a Pub Licensees rights to deny custom under The Licensing Act but says nothing of the obligations of a passenger involved in a road traffic collision. What offence has Nigel Farage committed as a passenger in a chauffeur driven car?
//What offence has Nigel Farage committed as a passenger in a chauffeur driven car? //

None whatsoever, but be it Trump, Robinson, Farage, or any other figure who's not deemed to be one of the in-crowd ....

....you know the rest.
Naomi, surely you mean 'Robinson' don't you?:)
oops another non sequitur

the legal eagle says a publican can ban entry to whomever he likes ( which means and implies that any antecedent event ( crashes, stops, dented jags, frightened 12 mo kids) is irrelevant)

and the cop agreed ( I think )

and yeah Nigh - St Nige certainly scares the crap out of me, especially if he is in a chauffeur driven jag !
hur hur hur

wow San mac
had to read that a few times

They said - 1970s - that there was a question in Philosophy Finals - is John the same as 'John' ?

[see Kripke - Naming and Necessity - for back ground reading. K was the one who got his first publication at 16]

hur hur hur //

Forgotten your Meds 2P?. Mr Farage was in a chauffeur driven 4x4. The other car was a Jaguar hur hur hur. As you say you are on AB making a fool of yourself but hey ho. If Sanity was taxable you would certainly be eligible for a rebate.. hur hur hur
