*Crash*
I see that the death toll is rising from one to thirteen. I think that the combination of being trapped and in a fire is one of those things that scare most of us.

Dreadful.
i dont think it was a crash

Well it wasn't exactly a controlled landing. These things always seem to happen in 3s and that was number 2.
41 dead it would appear
Tragic

:-(
It blew up after landing? Frightening!
//i dont think it was a crash//

What was it then?
They think it was struck by lightning
"They think it was struck by lightning"

Maybe. And then it crashed.
an emergency landing

From the link

// The Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet aircraft made an emergency landing at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow due to fire on board //
It is almost unheard of for a lightning strike to cause a plane to crash in modern times. The last lightning strike to cause a crash in the US for example was back in the 60s. That doesn’t mean this wasn’t the cause of course
A controlled emergency landing, NJ. Pity the poor folk at the rear of the plane. The front end didn't seem to be aflame until after it landed.
Poor souls, terrible way to die.
This is dreadful, how awful for them.
Bless that brave pilot too..
