It depends on how much about the reality of politics 'Tommy Robinson' actually understands - I suspect not enough.
I think he seriously overestimates his own popularity, because he mistakes the vociferous vocal support of a tiny minority, for the tacit report of a large majority, and it's the latter, rather than the former that has to be convinced.
That, as real politicians know, is not done by simply making a noise in the street and hitting people on camera, it's about knocking on doors and actually convincing people that you know what you are doing, and you have some genuine feasible answers to some seriously complex social problems.
I think 'Tommy Robinson' is seduced by what he sees as his 'genuine grass-roots popularity', and I forseee him coming a serious cropper at election time because, although the electorate is seriously disillusioned with the main politicial parties, it is not stupd enough to think that a gobby racist is actually the answer they need as a genuine alternative.
