And a shame that the earlier fascism she suffered from is being reimported in a different guise.
She just didn't stop fighting.....or living. I do wonder how many fantastically courageous people are never heard of after surviving (or not) wartime atrocities . Those that survive seem to often just disappear into the mist.
What an extraordinary lady. RIP.
I wonder if importation is not limited to mere supplementation into the already fertile plot (however small) of home grown fascism which, sadly and in some cases tragically, all counties likely possess.
No words are needed , her story says it all - RIP.

Good point Karl. I think that (as in most exploitable human traits) the enemies latch on to some ‘normal’ characteristic (such as love of home) and manipulate it for their own ends. None of us is born a fascist, but some of us embrace it far too easily!
we have had quite a lot about the fate of the fighters in the Spanith Civil War

La pasionara waved good bye to international brigade and the english and scottish came back and were unmolested by the authorities

and the rest - fled to France Jan 39 - - - where they were interned as the French didnt really know what to do with them. Near the border - kinda important for what happened next. Sep 39.

1940 and chute de France ( yeah lots of forrin in this post) the camps were in Vichy France ( sort of beloved of 3T ) . This was OK until the German occ upation of the unoccupied part ( er that made sense to the germans - the effect is unoccupied becomes occupied )

and they were carted off to concentration camps. 1941
Mauthausen 1945 they were liberated by the Yanquis and THAT is why if you go to the Mauthausen CC page on wiki
and scroll down to "heritage" there is a banner celebtrating the yanqui liberatadores anti fascistas
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauthausen-Gusen_concentration_camp_complex

and also try dees

oh for chrissakes she was Spanith - so some comment is kinda gonna be in spanish innit ? 100 came out of Mauthausen.
