Jezza will do his utmost to get more migrants into the country.
AOG, you are wrong. If a convicted criminal is granted an appeal the usual procedure is to release him on bail until the appeal is heard.

But the fact is he did say it.

There are many lesser mortals that have lost their jobs and much worse, for saying even less and later apologising.
Wouldn't she be more comfortable in Iran?
AOG if you are referring to my post at 11.09 I agree with you. That post was for jf88.
// Why is she eligible for Legal Aid, when she is no longer a British citizen? //

Why is she eligible for Legal Aid, when she is nt in England?

Why do people think Begum is part of her name when in fact it is an honorific like Mr, Mrs or Miss

why are so many unanswerable questions - like who started the Notre Dame fire?
Yup, so many questions, so little time.

Who started Peter Pedant? Starter (geddit?) for ten.

And why? Far more valuable bonus.
gawd elp us TOVI has awaken!
oh I am with the lawyer who said that
the appeal was to be heard at SIAC

secret court - with buffered lawyers - and god knows what

the evidence is secret and the case heard in secret - such as for example she sewed unwilling suicide bombers into their paradise jackets
the informant could be ... identified

so suppose Shameemz lawyer is Iqbal Islam...... he is excluded and a court appointed lawyer hears all the secret evidence and pleads blah blah blah for shameem- which poor old Iqbal knows nothing about. The doors open and Iqbal he continues in perfect ignorance of what has been pleaded on her behalf for the public bit of the case

and then the lawyer said - in such a place you need legal aid and specialist lawyers

In a drama this is well done in The Good Wife - series 4 I think
Including our heroine saying ' this paper shows such and such' and the govt prosecutor says - well it doesnt now' and shreds it- adding 'you cant say anything'
hi everybardy
amidst all the personal comments
does anyone have any thought on whether Shameem should get legal aid to fight a complex case and get a fair trial ?

blimey sorry I wrote on the subject in hand
No she should not.

Clear enough PP ?
I see we are still getting the usual VB from TGT,
//does anyone have any thought on whether Shameem should get legal aid to fight a complex case and get a fair trial ? //

No she shouldn't.
I suppose if she's entitled to apply for it then she's entitled to apply. I hope she doesn't get it though.

Problem being she did not apply for it .

This from an early thread:

/// He added: ‘I represent the family who initially brought the case on behalf of Shamima Begum ///
The smear-Corbyn campaign continues as the Fascisti get more and more scared.
Canary, not a smear, a fact.
DannyK; Corbyn is only saying what you appear to be saying in your first 2 posts. She remains a British citizen and, as such, is entitled to Legal Aid. So perhaps the OP's heading should read, "DannyK supports Shamima Begum.
As she's outwith the UK it's not unreasonable for someone in the UK to apply for help on her behalf. I'm sure a representative could make an application for someone in the UK too.
Ken, I did not that I supported her, far from it.I just stated the facts.I earnestly hope that her appeal fails and she is immediately deported.
