Khandro.
//At 10.30pm, firemen said the cathedral’s famous 13th-century stained glass Rose windows had been destroyed. ‘They exploded because of the heat of the blaze,’ said one. //

yeah da rose windows have gone to heaven no doubt about that

the correspondent last night didnt know the 'metal stuff that holds the pieces in' was called leading

but he did know they were low melting point
( and in fact the glass gets frazzled as well)
they said on the radio this morning that three rose windows including the large west end were ok.....
I heard that too DTC. Radio 4 Today programme ...
I couldn’t help in spite of myself smiling at this morning’s Sun headline: “Notre Doom”.

We decided that Hugo’s novel “Notre Dame de Paris” didn’t translate into English in the way Hugo intended so we added a touch of Gothic horror. In my opinion they should change the title back to the original French.
That is so sad, I know the window so well, if only (if, if) they could have kept it sprayed with water - but what do I know?
DCT //they said on the radio this morning that three rose windows including the large west end were ok.....//

So what is the truth?
One of the large stained glass windows was totally destroyed.
I am guessing the three rose windows are still intact, based on the radio report this morning and the fact that all of the latest damage reports are talking about the wooden interior and spire. The windows are not getting a mention, which is a positive sign.
Apparently They may use assassins creed to help rebuild it.

Didn't you use some of Notre Dame's glass for one of your collages, Khandro?
Some reports also say that the fire broke out in two places. This from NBC.
//"The fire started up near the roof top, while another fire started in the north bell tower," Picaud told NBC News. "All damage seems to be up high and did not go into the lower part of church or touch the organ or stained-glass windows."//
ichkeria, some French newspapers headlined it "Notre Drame", so I don't think the Sun was out of line.
It could have been worse: they could have given anagram fans a treat with :
“Red ‘ot, mate!”
Luckily they didn’t.
Or even
“Red ‘ot. Amen”
Which would be more respectful and more accurate ...
Mmmm!!!! This from last October.

/// ISIS has threatened a drone attack on the Eiffel Tower with a chilling new poster. ///

Fox news October 2018.
Has ISIS claimed responsibility then?
I'm surprised some Christians didn't think this was the start of the apocalypses.
Ellipsis
/// Has ISIS claimed responsibility then? ///

No and neither is there any suggestion that they have.
Do ISIS even exist anymore i though they were defeated

your answer at 13:40 AOG implies ISIS could be responsible
