/'The only consideration I would ask is that I have recently received hateful tweets telling me that as a Muslim my Emmerdale role means that I am ‘committing sinful acts, promoting sin and deliberately going against the Quran’...//

I wonder where they came from?
I don't think that she will be missed.
Don't watch the soap, so don't know her, however, I think it's ludicrous that she has been sacked for using a word years ago that has only now come to light! How much madder is this country going to get ???
Great teeth.
I don't watch it either, her employers have the right to hire and fire as they see fit.

Her apology seems sincere, life and it's consequences eh?

eh?
I don't watch any soaps, but I think the comment was made before her 'informative years' if you like... a bit out of order to sacked for it. IMO
Lovely looking girl but I was never sure whether she had a rubbish part to play or that she was a bad actress. All that childish way of speaking and some of the lines that she was given. However all that aside she doesn't deserve to be fired for something she put on Social Media all those years ago. Somebody must have really wanted to harm her.
What a world we live in now.
Indeed andres, What kind of a world ... I once scratched my arris in public veiw... cctv would have picked me up on that... I'm scared.
I feel sorry for her, but 19 isn't a child, and what she said was nasty racist claptrap. If she thought that then does she think differently now? Quite possibly, but who can say? Does she deserve to be sacked, probably not tbh, this could in reality happen to any of us, none of us are snow white all through our lives, so live and let live I think. I thought he apology seemed sincere.

Ahem...
As a point I'm all for 'kick it out' racism in football but do truly believe she was naive and should be given her chance to explain her postings... and not to have being sacked.
Some say

Muslims are the most racist of all mainstream groups
Spicey! :)

Yeah me too, I think a snivelling grovelling apology would probably have done tbh. x
Well at least her homophobia seems to have been buried.
