Leaving aside the rarer medical reasons for non vaccination for a moment - the anti-vaxxers are doing a ot of damage with their dcare mongering an of course with the internet it has spread far beyond the USA. This young man is claiming his religion is against it whilst the Church in fact isn't. Elsewhere the resurgence of the link to autism (unproven) of certain...

Not everyone that goes without vaccinations is due to 'thick as muck parents'
I had do without lots of vaccinations due to medical issues.
Question Author
Well it's a danger for civilisation. You know if you're not vaccinated, your body can help develop diseases such as polio until they're so evolved our vaccinations don't work?

OK so should I risk my life to be vaccinated?
Question Author
How would a vaccination be a risk to your life?
Question Author
I think the worse would be an allergic or an anaphylactic reaction.
spath if it was that easy it would be lovely....all that will do is exclude children from school through no fault of their own.
Because in my case it could bring on other medical conditions that would be a risk to my life.
that "worst" can kill.
//the worse it would be an anaphylactic reaction//
Have you ever had one?
Spath, a slight exaggeration. You cannot vaccinate against every known disease.Calling parents 'thick as muck' is totally uncalled for.
woofgang - yes it can kill!
Question Author
I think it's best to protect the large majority rather than cater for the very small circle of those who could potentially help develop an ultra disease that could kill the planet off.
It may not be the kids fault, but it's not mine either. Why should i be at risk?
Question Author
Danny, no it isn't. I stick by what i said and i'm proud to think pro antivaxxers are thick as mud. Happy as a pig in mud.
Question Author
RR the NHS hasn't told me death is a possibility.

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/benefits-and-risks/
Question Author
RR, if you have an anaphylactic reaction you'll be surrounded by nurses and "Vaccination staff are trained to deal with this, and these reactions are completely reversible if treated promptly."
What do you mean by antivaxxers? What vaccines have you had?
Well I think your to //thick// to understand so why should I explain my health to you?
Question Author
I've had all my vaccinations that you get as a child. Hepatitis, tetnis etc..

I'm not sure how self explanatory "pro anti vaxxers" is. People who are pro not vaccinating their kids because they think stupid things like "might make my kid autistic" is real when it's not.

But if it is real, it's nice to know the parents would rather their kids get polio than be autistic.
anaphylactic reaction can come on where there is no trained staff about - I nearly lost my life to one if my husband and not been as quick on his feet - I would n't be here
Question Author
RR, it's you are.. you're. Maybe one day you'll get it but yes i am too thick.
