Yes, she should have not been allowed to carry on as an MP after her conviction for dishonesty.

//and only passed after it was backed by disgraced MP Fiona Onasanya, it was revealed today.//

Spinning at its very worst.

Not really.
the fury is not justified. to me it smells like, they lsot the vote so they are angry and trying to find a loop hole to make another vote, or their result triumph?
Yes but the other 25 who couldnt be bothered to show up should get a dishonourable mention.
Of course not.
Wherever you think of this woman she was in the Commons as of right and she didnt cast the “deciding vote” 313 MPs collectively did that.
That wasn't a response to your comment. I meant it's not really fair to single her out.

Danny //Yes, she should have not been allowed to carry on as an MP after her conviction for dishonesty.//

She has not and may not be deselected though.
It’s pretty shoddy journalism: the “fury” of the headline is more of the “look at this you should be furious” variety as I cannot see any furious reaction to it in the article. Plenty of other “furious reaction” admittedly
Eh... ce sera sera

Yes,ich,I hadn't realised Bercow had gone yet ;-)
Having criminal tendencies does not disqualify you from becoming an MP. It appears in fact to be a positive asset to have. There you have it our democratic process condensed down to one fact. The Remainiacs defeat democracy by utilising the vote of one criminal.
Only 26 days or so to go on her recall petition, only about 7000 signatures required from valid constituents.
Remove all those with criminal tendencies and you will have non left!

Why do you think she could get away with it, they consider themselves untouchable and unaccountable.

//The Remainiacs defeat democracy by utilising the vote of one criminal.//

The idea though Togo that her vote was the 'deciding vote' is just plain inaccurate and devious reporting.
Implying no one elses vote mattered but hers is what the media have done here.

With the farcical behaviour generally of so many MP's,I just wonder whether enough constituents will bother to sign it.

It is becoming the norm for MP's to behave in contemptuous fashion so much so that any criminal behaviour is perhaps seen by many to be par for the course...
She should have never been allowed to vote, never mind entering the House of Commons.

Without her vote, the motion would not have passed.

So it is not "Spinning at its very worst" as some would say.
Bet she had a bit of a dash to get there as well......what with wearing an ankle bracelet and being at an "industrial tribunal" all day. Did she listen to the debate previously held?
