A mixture in some cases, one or the other in some.

A clash in most.
Muslims can be gay, there are even a few gay imams around the world.
Some Christians say you can't be gay and Christian but there are gay vicars and bishops.
Some atheists believe gay people are an abomination to nature.

To answer your question in a single sentence: some Muslims are homophobic, some are not homophobic but believe it is against Islam (love the person, hate the act), some couldn't care less about a person's sexuality and some are gay. Just like the rest of society, really
Maybe the 'No Outsiders' policy should extend to the demonstrators!
Can you be gay and christian? If so you can be gay and muslim.

God loves every one of us
People don't choose to be gay.. But they do choose to be Muslim.
I'm not sure there's much of a choice in being Muslim. Whereas......

Of course there is a choice, one can choose not to follow Islam, just as one can choose not to follow Christianity or any other religion if it comes to that.

I am surprised by your Guardian link, just goes to reinforce the general belief that Islam is such an intolerant religion.
Make your mind up!
The liberal left have been very quiet on this subject. i suppose they are running round in circles not knowing which way to turn.
Most religions are intolerant of other religions.
According to a Guardian poll, 100% of British Muslims are anti gay.
Still, that was a few years ago, HC. They're bound to have moved on now, aren't they. ;-/
They can't move on. Their belief is not a choice.
So if the religion isn't a choice ^?

And begin gay isn't a choice.

Of course you can have gay Muslims then. It's a shame though because they're probably suppressed
Maybe they just follow their religion more strictly than Christians.
//"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." Chapter 18 verse 22. "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."//
I thought a man that laid with another man must be stoned? As in, pretty high, man.
