There is no reason given for this lady resigning her position - it may be coincidence that this incident happened at the same time. There has not ben time for her employers to conduct any enquiry, should they have deemed it necessary, so it would appear that she could have remained in her job if she wished. Where have I doubted them? Unlike the EU Remainers I accept poll results.

Interestingly that study compared Leavers to Remainers attitudes towards the acceptability of Golliwogs:

This is less about racism than a salutary lesson about modern society - if you hold controversial views, don't commit them to print on social media, where a world of individuals is just waiting to be offended - and act on that reaction.
