Good. Although I expect there will be lots of people rushing to argue that this is unlawful
There will be much more mileage on this affair but a firm response from the Government...
Bloody good job too!!!!
Sorry Chrissa your thread wasn't there when I was typing mine.
FF, this decision could have something to do with my answer to you at the end of this thread - see last post.

No probs Ladybirder. I guessed that’s what has happened. I’m glad the government has taken this stand.

Maybe if this had been put in place years ago, it might have made some think twice before leaving the country, although I doubt it.
Good. She chose to live by the sword so she can.........

Feel sorry for the innocent baby though.
Hooray!
her family are going to appeal, why don't they go and join her instead.
My mum decided that she was going to Cuba during the missile crisis. Her mum said that she wasn't going. That was the end of her revolutionary dreams.

A couple of months later she got married and then a few months later I arrived.
Chrissa...I am so pleased to hear that..surprised but so pleased. Thank goodness this decision has been taken.
I have read and looked at the interviews with her and for someone asking to return to Britain for all it offers her she wasn't even able to lie her case and appeal well......hedging her bets perhaps?
Her response to the question about the Manchester bombings told me all I need to know about where her loyalties lie...and it's not and never will be with this country.

She comes across as a very dangerous woman and I am relieved that she won't be living here.
Feeling very sorry for the baby, but can't say i'm upset about the decision, she's a very dangerous person potentially.
She appears be honest (or thick?). If she wanted to come back she should've lied.
LB....she could have lied and lied to come back here...but what if she was still refused entry? She'd have then to live with those she was criticising and denouncing....they'd not be happy would they...x

Totally agree, gness.

I wonder what their grounds for appeal are going to be.
The grounds for appeal will be that she has (had) a British passport and by law people can't be rendered stateless, and they may appeal the decision to revoke it anyway as politically motivated and illegal/unfair as she has not been convicted in a court of law.
But I think there may be enough going on to muddy the waters for some time - there is a suggestion now she was actually born in Bangladesh not London, there is the issue of the baby's father being Dutch and maybe his agreement is needed to the child coming here (may be difficult as he's either dead or in hiding) - and we can always drag the appeal process out then appeal the appeal etc
Fender the link to my post at 18.49 says that her father is an ISIS supporter so yes your suggestion's a good one. Take the whole family. Everybody happy.
Gness you could be right but I'm not sure she's that bright.
No idea Chrissa, especially if it's true she was born in Bangladesh, baby's father is Dutch and is still alive and her father is an IS supporter. Every chance the child will be one as well if it grows up with either its mother or father.
Because the child's father is Dutch the baby will automatically have a Dutch passport.
Excellent news. Let's hope it can be followed through.
