Corbyn may bring a confidence motion; I wouldn't bet on it passing
Question Author
Corbyn's tabled a vote of no confidence.
what now? win the VONC and carry on. This an excellent result, it tells the EUSSR that they have to give.
I think it also tells the EU that we don't know what we want so there's nothing they can offer- they could say "goodbye"
What Now? May out!. General Election with UKIP the only option if we are to get out. With a promise that England gets it's own Assembly, just like the Welsh, Scots and N.Irish have. Teach the EUSSR that England is not 9 regions...…. Just like we have before.
//Corbyn's tabled a vote of no confidence. //

the PM practically invited him to do so.

"it is clear MPs do not support the deal. However, tonight's vote tells us nothing about what it does support, nothing about how or even if it intends to honour the decision that people took in a referendum. EU citizens here and UK citizens in the EU deserve clarity as soon as possible, as do businesses and ordinary people. The focus now is confirming whether the government still has Parliament's confidence, she says, and the government will make time tomorrow to debate a no confidence motion if one is tabled by the Labour party."
>General Election with UKIP the only option if we are to get out.
You really think they'd win a GE?
A general election would mean Remain
What I find rather hilarious is that the DUP, bless them, were going to vote against the government had it won. So the PM was b******d anyway :-)

Juncker has issued a note expressing his regret at the vote and "urging the UK to clarify its intentions as soon as possible".

"Clarify", yes, that's the word he used.
I actually think there SHOULD be an election now but there don’t be because the DUP, bless them ...

Quite an achievement to lose by a greater margin than the number of votes you got
... and yet more chaos arising originally from Camoron's crazy self-interest.
//BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) – The European Union and Britain’s prime minister are seeking new ways to avoid a no-deal departure of the UK from the bloc but the EU Commission president insists there cannot be a renegotiation of the draft Brexit deal.
Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday that despite the difficulties of Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May to get the deal through Parliament, he continues to hope she can pull it off next Tuesday.
To help her get the deal through, “We are checking with Downing Street what the clarifications could amount to,” he said, adding: “They should not be confused with a renegotiation.”
“I don’t like the prospect of a no deal. It would be a catastrophe,” he said on a visit to Romania, which has taken over the rotating EU presidency.//

Drunker bunker said clarity? I bet he did. He should have been given "clarity" from day one...…...May was always the olive in his martini. Now it is time to *** on his chips.
*** not hiss!
//yet more chaos arising originally from Camoron's crazy self-interest. //

labour have had opportunity after opportunity to challenge or block this. until now they have not done so. aren't the opposition supposed to oppose? there's precious little evidence....

Can't see Corbyn winning his vote, though. A general Election would give us a government of Corbyn and McDonnell by default, because what Leave Tory voter would vote for any RemainTory candidate or turncoats like Gove?

Now five years of Labour would do far more damage to Britain's economy than "crashing out" without a deal Still, Corbyn, like true love, wouldn't last forever - unlike the EU oligarchy and herpes.

//May was always the olive in his[Juncker's] martini//

Delightful metaphor. In the traditional recipe for a martini the olive is typically green, isn't it? sometimes stuffed and invariably shafted.
// because what Leave Tory voter would vote for any RemainTory candidate or turncoats like Gove?//

They will vote UKIP V.E. and condemn the Conservative, with a very small c, of May and the rest of the EUSSR lickspittles into a generation of obscurity. Rather Cob and the Marxist kamikazes for a few years than the one world order of EUSSR unelected, and undeselectable demi gods that we would be manacled to in perpetuity.
What now? Second Referendum or no Brexit ?, either will do me.
It may or may not be a blow to your hopes to note that current polls have the Tories and Labour essentially tied, on 40% each, while UKIP is languishing around 4%. Less than the Lib Dems, even.

I mean, sure, polls are sometimes wrong, but not *that* wrong.
