Radio waves are EM radiation (ie, light), not sound.

shortish answer for
' the whole of the end of the nineteenth century was convulsed ( yes convulsed) by the search for what EM radiation travelled froo. The michelson morley experiment at Case Western in the late eighties ( 1880s) was successively reinterpreted unconvincinvly

in the end Einstein came up with the idea there wasnt one or it didnt
I guess I just thought that it was better to answer the question, rather than to write a review of 19th Century Physics.
