My opinion of MPs would have dropped through the floor, but it'd need to climb out first.
Give back sovereignty to Parliament! As long as they do exactly what you tell them to.

Which, it shouldn't need saying, completely undermines the point of representative democracy. We elect MPs to represent our best interests, not to blindly follow orders and instructions without exercising their judgement.
//We elect MPs to represent our best interests, not to blindly follow orders and instructions without exercising their judgement. //

Judgement of what? Our opinions? They might be elected but what qualifies them, once they're elected, to disagree?
What should qualify them is that it's their day job to deal with and examine these issues in greater detail than we do ourselves. This is, perhaps, too idealised a model, but what point is there in a Parliament at all if there is not at least *some* trust that, most of the time at least, the combined scrutiny of the Commons, Lords, and various of their advisers makes for informed decisions?
Ah here we go again. So when Parliament over rides something you (and a majority) agree with I will remind you of this.

The problem is that MP's lie (all parties) to get elected, therefore your argument does not stack up.

In addition the vast majority of politicians have never had a day job (heard that anywhere before?) so are hardly likely to be able to make a good call. Instead most make decisions to best favour either thei own career or bank balance.
Jim, what point of a parliament that promises but doesn’t fulfil and claims to be democratic but isn’t? You sound like a child.
There is only a problem because some MPs are trying to stop Brexit.

If they were honest and stood in a row and shouted, we want to stop Brexit because we believe you got it wrong they would be shouted down and it would show them for what they are. Not representative of the country.

But hay, lets just blame the PM and Tories for this mess when in fact it is a cross party attempt to undermine democracy.
lets just blame the PM and Tories for this mess

The Tories get the blame because they own Brexit, from beginning to end. Nobody else has been in power the whole time ... except the DUP, by invitation, and how democratic was that?
Naomi jim does not sound like a child. Maybe you're getting the wrong end of the stick.
Democracy is an illusion if you can prove me other wise feel free to try.
Or an attempt to take Teressa May down and push for election. Anyway it was Cameran that started all of this, he hasn't put his head above the parapits yet?
spath, I haven't got the wrong end of the stick. Jim wants it his way.
everyone wants it 'their way'.
That's as may be but when the vote goes the other way, people should accept it, spath.
I do agree, if the vote has been democratic and fair.
It was.
Well in my opinion, these 20 Tory rebels are doing nothing productive, the whole charade is completely pointless.

Spath. 09.37 //Democracy is an illusion if you can prove me other wise feel free to try//
10.07 //I do agree, if the vote has been democratic and fair//
???
Democracy and having a democratic vote are different ball parks.
if a dictator offers a democratic vote, then you're living in a dictatorship with the illusion of option.
