They need to find the effer and lock them up.
They need to find the effer and 'accidently' shoot him/her
I've just posted on another thread police are interviewing "Persons of Interest" in relation the Gatwick Drone Incident.
SKY reporting now that another drone sighting is Unconfirmed and operations are Temporarily Suspended.
Just been talking to my neighbour who was on the train to Gatwick yesterday to fly home to Sweden for Christmas when he got a phone call to tell him flight cancelled. He's now been told Sunday but ...
Someone today told me that the reason the drone ceased for a while might have been because it was too windy to fly it and it might not be anything to do with the police and army coming in at all.
Could be some prat just phoning and messing about. No shortage of idiots about.
they can put a man on the moon 49 years ago, but cannot take a toy out of the sky...
might be, 237SJ, but it's still windy. (Here anyway, but I'm not near Gatwick)
What do they mean by a "suspected done sighting"? Surely you either see one or you don't see one.
It could be a legit one.
When reading the column about drones an advert popped up advertising buying a drone for a christmas present
Sanmac is correct. How does it work? Someone phones the airport to say they've seen a drone flying near the perimiter fence? Police and airport authorities then close the airport on the strength of it? What if someone is just doing this to see how disruptive it could be if it was done simultaneously at all the international airports in the UK?
that last bit sounds quite likely, Clarion. I find it hard to believe airports have no plans in place - drones have been on sale for years. Now every terrorist in town can see how easy it is to bring travel to a standstill.
If a drone is sighted, then why cant the authorities simply fly their own drone to follow the 'culprit' drone and see where it leads them to?
May have opened up again, another flight just took off.

BBC claims flights resuming as I post.
False alarm? Or drone users have withdrawn for the day?
Neither, according to your own source.

My own source?
Didn’t realise I owned the BBC!
Oh yes it is. Oh no it ain't. Oh yes it is. Oh no it ain't. Oh yes it is. Oh no it ain't. Oh yes it is. Oh no it ain't. ... ad infinitum
