If society didn't go around claiming that individuals can change gender it wouldn't get the nonsense of thinking boys are having periods. The fact that an individual has a period is a massive clue that they are female/girl/woman. This society needs to get off its PC nonsense kick, and get back to reality.

I don't think this Tory MP understands anything about this.

//Tory MP David Davies told The Mail on Sunday that it was "insanity" for teachers to tell pupils that transgender boys can have periods.

He said: "Learning about periods is already a difficult subject for children that age, so to throw in the idea girls who believe they are boys also have periods will leave them completely confused."//

Of course girls who feel they are really boys will have periods.
The world has gone quite mad.
We used to have "free periods" at Grammar School where when we were supposed to do a bit of revision. Mostly ended up with a bit of fighting and a few nose bleeds. (^_*)
"We believe that it’s important for all genders to be able to learn and talk about menstruation together… Our approach recognises the fact that some people who have periods are trans or non-binary."

Utter stupidity, I (as a male) have to go out soon and breast feed next doors baby.
I can't help but feel that the headline is trying to make an issue deliberately. Now that we have, largely, accepted that transgender people exist, it stands to reason that they ought to be made aware of what their body can go through. FTM transpeople therefore may experience periods, and ought to be told as much.

^^ LOL.!!!
@ sparkly
FTM transpeople therefore may experience periods, and ought to be told as much.

What does that mean ?
The new advice follows a council report which said: "Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have periods", adding that "menstruation must be inclusive of all genders".

Do those coming out with this utter garbage get paid, bonkers doesn't even come close to describing the sheer lunacy.
Of course, if a woman at birth identifies as a man, then obviously she's a man! So when "he" has his natural monthly period, a man is in fact having a period! Simple no?
gawd i despair
The time has surely come to look in a persons underwear to determine their sex. Forget the "gender" word it is meaningless bunkum.
can I qualify that ? as a woman...? anyone with a period knows and to be honest, in my experience ,,,welllll nuttttttt ..not an experience ...mere men want

Do you make a habit of looking inside the underwear of people you meet, Sparkly?
I can generally tell what sex they are. Women are soft and curvy and look nice. Men look like me. Sorry if that confuses you, lol.
sex and gender are not the same.

You can be male, female or intersex

Gender is apparently fluid. (it's less specific to realities)
Can I be a cocker spaniel then ?
FF5 this is getting silly!
jim: "Now that we have, largely, accepted that transgender people exist, it stands to reason that they ought to be made aware of what their body can go through." - seriously? Menstruating is what females do if they do not get pregnant. how is that connected to the male of the species in any way?
I do hope that the "girls" are being taught to expect to develop a hairy chest and an Adam's apple. Whilst the boys will be giving a cute rendition(at the "Winter Festival") of "All I want for Christmas is my two front teet".
