Why are you bothered by something happening in America.
Who is 'we'?
Say, what's in this drink? Bill Cosby's victims will recognise the thought.

?
We have many threads about America.
"It really pushed the line of consent," Cleveland Rape Crisis Center President and CEO Sondra Miller told Fox News. Bless.
Talbot. How does banning a song in America affect us?
What has that got to do with what I posted?
“Say what’s in this drink” is an old movie line from the 30’s that means “I’m telling the truth.”
I haven't become any more sensitive.
Talbot, you questioned my post.
What does it matter where it's happening?? I think it's the usual madness aog, but it's the way of the world now, isn't it - sad ..
It's the way of the World for a few, thank crikey I don't know any of them.
Don't worry AOG. Nobody's ever going to accuse you of being sensitive.
You're making no sense, danny.

All I said was we have many threads about America, why pick on this one.

A mass shooting in America doesn't affect us but we will discuss it.
Do you think we shouldn't?
Talbot, //why pick on this one//
I am not treating this one any different to any post I might comment on.I posted my opinion which, of course, you at liberty to disagree with.

The questioner asks, "Have we become this sensitive.

Perhaps some clarity is required on 'we'. I wouldn't include 'we' as people who live thousands of miles away.

'Baby It's Cold Outside' is one of my favourite Ella Fitzgerald tracks, but it was written three quarters of a century ago. There are loads of songs that simply don't fit in with where we are today.

This is one of them.
"She who must be obeyed" has just had an email from very good friends of hers, from their schooldays, who moved to Canada 30 years ago. The mail was apologising for not being able to send a Christmas Card this year, and advising her not to bother because of a postal strike which means that air mail is unlikely to either leave or enter Canada in time. The email goes on to say that some very "strange" things are happening there right now and that the place is unrecognisable from the original Country they moved to. French socialism at it's finest.
Are they going to move back to the UK Togo?
Didn't go as far as to say that Maggie. Plus I have not read the email, it was read out in part to me. Wonder how our old friend Stuart is, who used to post here on the Bank. Hope he is OK.
