It looks wonderful - until you consider that it is a proverbial drop in the proverbial ocean of drug supply and demand.


Finances would be better spent exploring the legalisation of drugs, to put in under the control of the government, and remove it from the control of criminals.

As I and others have said times without number, the 'War On Drugs' is as futile as it is ruinously costly.

It's time for society to admit that it has a drug culture, which is going nowhere. The grown-up attitude is to look at controlling it properly, instead of pretending that it can 'win' a 'war' against it, which history shows to be a patently false notion which is only good for securing votes when elections come round.

I wish the police would do more- the problem seems particularly bad here in the Asian community there are regular drug handovers going on here with dealers in high performance cars speeding to and from evening/night time dropping off points and with youngsters also helping out on bikes but the police seem to be deliberately keeping a distance saying they don't have the resources to be on the lookout so we need to provide car reg details (not easy to approach the gangs in the dark to photograph them!) and then they might have a look
