Yes I do.

For a start they have no immunities they will most likely die very quickly if exposed to our infections.
i do, they should be left alone. sadly that is rarely the case, with ever increasing land grabs, destroying their way of life.
And its tough t**s to the tourist, why does he think he is above the law.

Well they soon told him. Lucky he didnt end up in a pot with the carrots and parsnips if you ask me.

And another argument, why should we inflict our 'supposedly' better lifestyle on them? If they are happy leave them alone.

But if I objected to immigration in this country I'd be called nasty names by progressive people.
Why does their culture(such as it is) have to be protected but my beautiful culture must be destroyed.
Liberals spice, liberals.
I thought protecting your own island from incomers and their funny religious ways was what you were all about, spicerack?

The Missionary circumnavigated the laws, took a chance and has now gone to be (re)united with his God........and the islanders remain safe and unmolested.

Good news to my mind.
With you entirely on this one JTH.

Well, I'd hang a couple of them to teach them not to kill people.

As an aside, they must think they're well hard. Helicopters, navy ships, anything scarpers when they get their bows & arrows out.
If only we could do the same to Mormon and Jehovan missionaries who invade our space.

You rather missed the point of my trick question, jack, and fell right into my cunning trap. ;-)

I wonder sometimes if a newborn was taken from this tribe and brought up in the western world, would it be civilised. Or, would it be one branch down on the evolution tree.
He was told not to go and he went and he's dead.....

Seriously, it's a genuine question. The knee-jerk reaction would be to leave them alone but in another way that smacks of superiority, keeping human pets, ants in a formicary.
Some Indians used to throw live widows on their husbands' funeral pyres. When Stanley was in Africa, some tribal chief slaughtered 1,000 women and children for a feast in his honour. Their customs, should we have stopped them?
//Do we agree with this 'experiment' of leaving tribes to their own devices. //

Yes, they should be left to their own devices. Imposing our world on them would do them no favours.
bet they kept his boat to sail up the Thames where my dog is hungrily waiting.
Leave them alone but I'm amazed that TROB haven't chained themselves to a coconut and claimed they are intolerable xenophobes! Wouldn't be surprised though, if the seppos's sent a few rednecks over and machine gunned them.
I don't think its an experiment, I think its the least bad option.

I can't believe that I have just read that.

Would you have the same feeling if our islanders were to dish the same justice out to our intruders, so that our islanders remain safe and unmolested, you understand?
Yes. it is not an experiment though.. It's is untouched civilisation and why should we impose on their lifes and idologies because we THINK we have it the right way? Maybe they have it the right way and in my opinion, they do. So much more natural, but mainly, sustainable way of lifes.

The missionary (RIP) was a idiot to go near the place. and to try and impose a religion? What a new age ***
