I've not seen it mentioned elsewhere on this site, Khandro, but it was featured on the home page of the BBC News website up until a few hours ago:

what a wonderful response by the Australian people, lets hope he gets his life on track....
Good for him, a very brave thing to do.
I actually feel sorry for this guy. People are homeless for many reasons and many of them can't cope with normal life and may not wish to be given accommodation.

Now he has been thrown into the public eye. This may end badly (I really hope not, I wish him all the best for the future) as he may not be able to cope with the attention that he will be receiving.

He is a brave man and should be given recognition for this, but someone needs to look for his non-financial future.

It's a good point wolf, though the article says; 'The fundraising campaign was launched on GoFundMe by Donna Stolzenberg, the founder of registered charity Melbourne Homeless Collective.' So let's hope it will be handled with sensitivity by the charity.
He totally deserves it, hope it works out for him.
Yeah good lad, what a hero! We need more people to stand up to these people. There is strength in unity.
Fair play to him. Brave man.
I just had an inspiration for a second lol xx
oh sorry wrong place x
The DM always will throw the oddest spin on things. They are pathetic.
Jeez

That is very sick spin, quoting an anonymous person online, who "dug-deep", and the reason why I don't read the Daily Mail.

Whatever his past looks like, he acted bravely in the present, and his action can be compared to the cowardly tweeters and D.M. journalists who would have run a mile in the circumstances.
"In February 2017, the English Wikipedia determined that the Daily Mail was "generally unreliable" to use as a reference in Wikipedia. Its use as a reference is now "generally prohibited, especially when other more reliable sources exist"."
So let the Daily Mail spin what ever they like but they are officially unreliable.
Wikipedia says Wikipedia is not a reliable source, Spath

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_is_not_a_reliable_source

I agree about the Daily Mail. The only reliable thing about it is that knuckle draggers will read it and believe it
It isn't about entitlement to a reward, it is whether people wish to donate and help.

So many people are invisible until something wholly unexpected happens.

I wish him a better future.
HC that is in education aspects.. Wikipedias sources can still be pointed to. Wiki is honest, the DM is not honest. Who is the DM's source? an "anonymous person online"
I know you're not arguing that though
