His son's can do it for him...
Question Author
perhaps you are right, but he has been very vocal throughout his life about many subjects, one wonders if/when he becomes King he will have to bite his tongue.
of course he will, and he's just said so.
Question Author
just because he said so, doesn't mean he will.
Question Author
not going to be easy then is it. Perhaps as you say his sons can take up the slack.
I think he is taking the right attitude towards it. To be a king, you can't meddle with such topics.
Question Author

What powers can a king or queen actually have over such matters?
Question Author

His father Frederick was a bad 'un.....
Tonight's BBC documentary was a brilliant PR job for Prince Charles.
Question Author
i missed it i am afraid.
I don't think Philip is in such fine fettle. He was noticeably absent from his granddaughter's wedding and the banquet for the Dutch king.
he was at Eugenies wedding ^^^ x
Really? I didn't watch it but the photo I saw showed the Queen sitting on her own.
The trials and tribulations of being royal.

I lose sleep worrying just how they will all cope.
