around the seventies, i know it's a long time ago, i was shocked in many ways that the black guys i mixed with had no sense at all in being married, having babies by the bucketload, then more or less letting the mothers
have the responsibility. Also having more than one girlfriend and having children with them, this has produced an irresponsible level of fathering, i may be
talking just from experience but i mixed in a lot with the wider black community back then and saw the results of unfettered birth control. Dead beat dads the lot of them, this attitude has passed down from one generation to another and nothing can do to stop it.
I am not over generalising though i live and lived in the capital and saw what was going on around me

There are numerous reasons all coming together in a perfect storm.

Momentum though are way off the mark. No surprise there though.

read my last post carefully, it's been inherited from many generations before. In the Black Caribbean community that i was involved in, and don't forget this was the seventies, no one thought about having babies out of wedlock, or even producing lots of children without the slightest hint of a dads involvement, they were more interested, and this my experience, smoking ganja and drinking red stripe, neither of which i did as i don't smoke, never did.

they did work, so weren't lazy as such, but the men's involvement was very slight with their children. It was left to the mothers to more or less try and bring up the children on their own.

Always there to have a dig, so nothing new there then.

But to answer your query, it is obvious to anyone that immigration is the root of some of the problems we see today, but it is now too late to do anything about that, except to address freely some of the problems we have now imported.

it IS black on black - and mainly between 4 - 6 pm and by kids on their way back from a hard day at skool.
