Just watching the 6.30 news on ITV and they are leading with a video of a group of people putting a cardboard effigy of Greenfell Tower on a bonfire - complete with faces at windows and people hanging on for dear life. Words really do fail me sometimes!

Rockrose opened a thread at the same time as me but he put a link up, too, so you're better off watching that and responding to his thread.

Oh, i think there were one or two who the camera caught decent images of, BS. Maybe even voice recognition?
Disgusting Ken.
Sorry about that Ken x
^Is it any worse than burning a representation of a man who tried to point out the inequality of Capital Punishment by burning an effigy of a man who tried to protest against it? (Guy Fawkes)
I'm surprised you ask that Eddie. Guy fawkes died over 400 years ago. I doubt he has any close relatives and friends still grieving.
Plus, he was a religious terrorist and guilty of treason, at a time when the people were more in favour of torture and had little sympathy for wrongdoers.
words don't fail me they are stupid bstads, can't think of anything worse than to denigrate the loss of life in this way
Any different from this?

I entered this in Rockrose's thread, just thought that I would repeat it in case someone missed it.
Yes. As I said on the other thread, living people haven't died horribly in a fire, so very different.
