It seems that you need to be much more careful about the use of irony and hyperbole - even in a suposedly private exchange of emails with someone you thought was a friend ...

Twitter is (of course) in meltdown as snowflake vegans with malfunctioning (or missing) humour circuits ramp up the faux outrage.

I'll be really offended if he has to resign and will withdraw my custom ... unless they send me free meat parcels as compensation ...

No, I think calling vegans hypocrits doesn’t equate to humour on any level. The man is a git, and I’d happily stick a vegetarian sausage where the sun don’t shine...
Things like this drive me nuts.
Binbag. You must be the most violent Buddhist since Kwai Chang Caine.
Lol..That's offal!
Oh piescrack, if only you knew.
Not sure if it was a joke or a rant of frustration, but i mean.. Surely it's funny?

that's probably the best thing you could hope to do with one of those awful things, B-B......
Fine if a person wants to be a vegan or vegetarian......but why, oh why do they have to keep telling us at every opportunity and within minutes of meeting one?

Had to smile when I was catching up on Pointless....in the few seconds folk have to tell us their occupation or hobbies one chap announced that he was a vegan....bit like me saying...hi, I'm Gness from Northants and I eat pork chops..... ;-)
quite right, they murder plants and as animals (mostly) live on plants, they are depriving animals of their food.
Yet another load of drivel driven by a minority of 'outraged' snowflakes on their precious media.

At some point something has to give.
"How to trap them?" was one of his ponderings, according to the link. Easy. You can catch a vegan the same way i catch rabbits. Lay down in a field and make a noise like a lettuce.
I’m only prompted to declare my dietary habits if asked for a meal. Otherwise I keep it to myself, unless some militant meat-eater comes spoiling for a fight.
Does eating meat make all of you so permanently outraged, or is it something else?
Although I think his comments were out of order, I actually have no time at all for Mr Sitwell. I also don't have time for vegans who try to make me ashamed of being an omnivore. My local Waitrose (yes really!) have recently devoted a whole chilled cabinet to "Vegan Food" where they used to put most of the reduced items which were a much better use of space.
How long do you usually have to romaine like that, ken?
Who is outraged, part from you,on here. Most posts seem to be jocular.

But then as a vegan you have a SOHBP no doubt.

I'm sure you would and hey, what you get up to in the privacy of your own bedsit is entirely your business.
^ which is the best reason i've heard yet for not eating a vegetarian sausage
Now I know why they smell horrid.
