so Europe is romantic, where has he been lately, its not romantic to cobble people together, tell them to obey or else we will crash on your house. That's how i see European Union as a totalitarian state one i want no part of.
If he wants to be a part of 'romantic Europe' perhaps he should move to Paris. None 'romanticker'. ;o)
He's Irish so he is still part of Europe.

Where’s the bit that says he thinks Ireland is leaving the EU? if you have a question ask it based on something factual at least :-)

ich, the heading of the article says "I want to be part of a romantic Europe" - he still will be, Ireland isn't leaving, though I cannot vouch for how romantic it will be.
Surely his point is that in his opinion Europe is losing or needs to regain its romantic ideals.
Agree or disagree? I’d tend to agree at the moment. Of course dressed up in poncy Bonospeak I admit :-)
