Naomi - // Perhaps you don't feel your children belong to you because you didn't give birth to them. Who knows? //

I know - obviously.

I am unwilling to indulge you as you take this tread into my personal life without valid reason - but I will.

First of all, I did not give birth to any of my children, my wife was kind enough to undertake that small task.

Secondly, I have two step-children and one biological child.

I love them all deeply, and exactly the same as each other, and none of them 'belong to me', or ever have.

Children don't 'belong to us', they are loaned to us for a short blissful time.

Since w're being personal, clearly you don't have children, or you would understasnd that, and not be so crass as to ask me about it.
No naomi24 think about what you’re saying.

You’re assuming that had Mr Lewis said, “I’m their babysitter”, that would’ve been enough and the woman would’ve wandered off.

Where’s your evidence for that?

If I had suspected someone of abducting a child I wouldn’t accept that as a reason for them being together.

This situation needn’t have come about had the woman simply looked at the childrens’ faces and did a quick assessment.

That would’ve been ‘True Colors’.

Americans can’t spell.
Naomi - you're big on people educating themselves - why not try it yourself -

On Children
Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

//The kids were not stressed and nothing indicated that anything was wrong.//

Do you know that for a fact, Talbot?

Common sense dictates that if the children were distressed, then more than one person would have intervened, and if the man was taking the children and they were under duress, he would have moved out of the area pretty quickly, not calmly walked home, advising that the only stress the children experienced was caused by being followed by a strange woman.
Well here is one side of the story, but wait till the end of the video to witness the pizz taken out of white people.

Lots of videos on these, some have a message from one angle and some from another.

There's been a spate of black people vlogging about being victims of racism in America lately. They all turned out to be liars.
I've got videos to prove it if you're interested.
My error Sp ;-/

It's amazing just how some people think they have the right to interfere in others lives.
I think it's only fair to assume this is racism if the same person would have behaved differently (ie said nothing) had they seen a white man with two black kids.

That's something we'll never know of course.
AOG - I waited.

The newscaster was sarcastic about some white people's attitudes to some black people.

Am I supposed to be offended by that?

I wasn't.

Not particularly - it has nothing to do with what we are discussing.
Strange that there are no videos showing the actual confrontation by the white woman.
Well here we have AB at its best, some abers actually stating that the woman in question did nothing wrong ( racist). This thread does AB no favours .

I'm sure the gentleman was remiss in not having his cell phone ready to video any incidents at a moment's notice, especially ones where he is confronted by a vigilante racist in the street - but I'm sure he will do better next time.

Didn't for one moment expect you to have been, now if it had been the other way round you'd have been yelling from the roof tops.

Incidentally the 'newscaster' was being sarcastic to ALL white people, not just some as you quoted.
It's got everything to do with it. The black people in the other videos claimed they were victims of racism just like this bloke.
They turned out to be liars. Couldn't be more to do with it.

That's freedom of speech.

I would have an issue being followed for an hour (!) by a stranger, no matter what her 'concerns' were supposed to be.
We need to train baby sitters of any gender or colour to have their phone camera switched on at all times AOG.
