Perhaps now the haters of the USA will see that they have been giving huge amounts of cash to Palestine with nothing in response but ungratefulness and indifference. I believe this is an excellent move by the USA which will not only show how Unrwa mis-spends it's handouts but shows what happens when you bite the hands that feeds you. Who has been giving USA credit for it's support of Palestinian refugees? Perhaps now the critics of USA will get their hand in their own pockets, and bail out the ungrateful.

Hang on, I swear I left a spare £284m in an envelope somewhere...
Considering Trump's undisguised support of the Israelies that should not come as a surprise.
I’m not sure that withdrawing ones money, effectively in a huff, is going to endear the US to its ‘haters’
Most honest people realise that the US has been a major contributor to refugee aid and the benefits are there for all to see.
As usual it will be the wrong people who suffer ...
It'll all be the fault of the Jews, it always is.

Lob a few rockets about the place now, that'll help.
For Christians , Israel is of enormous importance

The Bible belt is traditionally republican voters

Trump / the republicans , do not want to upset the evangelicals and lose votes
Well now, intead of making catapults and throwing rocks over to the Israelis, they could think about tidying up their own and make a country for themselves. Maybe take a leaf out the Israelis' book and do kibbutz style backbreaking work to develop themselves, instead of expecting everything to be handed on a plate.

Could it be because Palestinian Refugees aren’t getting the aid?

Rod Liddle (whom God preserve) was suspended from membership of the Labour party for asserting that if the Palestinians were given Israel they would turn it very quickly into something like Somalia.
I don't think he is too eager to rejoin them again as they are now.
Maybe after 60 years of putting money in they finally realised that the Palestinians are incapable of sorting their own affairs.
Like everything else in life you have to see what the benefits are to how you spend your money.

It may be a ‘silent’ benefit that doesn’t make you money back but you at least have to see the benefit It does give for the recipients.

If you see no improvement or your money is grabbed out your hand without even a backwards glance and maybe you are even resented and ridiculed as they dash away then in all honesty I would stop giving it as well.

It is all very well some people saying it is the recipients that lose out in the end. That doesn’t mean a cash cow should carry on regardless. I wouldn’t.
What The Funicular?
What Zac? No come back? Don’t you understand what has been written? I find that hard to believe.
One of the mysteries of the current war in Gaza can be seen in the photos coming out of the tiny enclave: On the one hand, there is the desolation and squalor of Gaza neighborhoods where hundreds of thousands of Gazans live, and on the other, pictures of the homes owned by the millionaire Hamas’s top officials, complete with gym equipment and fancy furniture, or else images of the five-star hotel suites where they stay.
It’s quite a conundrum; just how did these new tycoons, who grew up in refugee camps and who wave the banner of helping their people, become so filthily rich in such a short space of time?
Please have a guess.
$300 million is chicken feed.

// US seeks to increase aid to Israel by $200M in 2019
The requested funds are the result of a $38 billion 10-year memorandum of understanding signed between Israel and the United States //

When you have time, look up the USS Liberty Incident.
Cassa, I’ve no idea how your comment relates to the OP. Wrong thread?

That's not right, Khandro. They're billionaires.
Zacs // I’ve no idea how your comment relates to the OP. Wrong thread?//
No, but I think you may be.
