Poor foreign driver had no idea how ruined this country is.

The lady hadn't done anything illegal or even morally wrong, she was exercising her right to wear what she chose to, and bus driver was 100% wrong, how else can one look at it?
You can argue that people should not be able t cover their faces if you want to but the fact remains at the moment they legally can so he was in the wrong instantly.
I’ve made exactly the same point, Kval. But it fails to sink in with the ‘chip-on-the-shoulder’ brigade.

FF @ 17:47, That really is scraping the barrel, even for you.
Until the government has the sense to ban identity hiding garb, folk are allowed to conceal themselves. The driver jumped to gun, and needs to keep such demands until society has caught up and it's acknowledged it's not right to hide identity. His company needs to provide further training.
A different situation, but at work, we often had to ask people to remove face veils, both at interviews and for working. But as a professional, he needed to follow the company guidelines. I see his point though, it is very rude to talk to someone with your face covered.
she could have put it in a letterbox,

I'll get me Boris-look-alike coat.

Actually that had been resorted to by others much earlier on this and previous threads, particularly by AOG on here, so maybe I was just going with the flow. However, putting aside much of the nonsense about suicide bombers disguising themselves on buses using face veils, if you'd read previous threads you would see I'm actually not against a ban on face veils provided it can be thought through how it would be implemented and policed.
I meet many veiled ladies in my line of work. I don`t know what people are so scared of. There is a human being underneath that material (probably wearing Chanel in some cases) I think it's just the fear of the unknown
No.
AOG would need counselling if he’d been in Dubai airport.
It's not fear, 237, It's not even about religion, it's just not possible to communicate properly if your face is covered. It isn't a human thing to do.
I communicate with women when I can only see their eyes. You can tell if someone is smiling or not and they can still speak - they are not mute
Of course it doesn't stop communication 237 its purely because they are different!
These women 237SJ ?
Facial expressions are a very important part of communication. My work was in a care home where clearly it just isn't possible with residents that might not hear well or have dementia, but even in general, you wouldn't cover your mouth while talking to someone. It's just bad manners if nothing else.
Sorry? I don't get you
Everyone is different, Rockrose!
Typical, the link doesn't go in, then a post gets between the first and the addition :-(
Sorry that was to OG
