Despite all the denials, it seems that (predictably) the possibility of a disastrous, disorderly Brexit is concentrating the minds of some of the people who really matter (Merkel and Macron) rather than their puffed-up popinjay (Barnier).

It was always going to be the case that we have a stronger position than Barnier and his loathsome pal Juncker admitted - it's just such a shame that Mrs May has *** away so much of that advantage.

Anything that upsets Saint Tony and Wee Cleggy is probably good for Britain - lets hope it's the first step to a proper deal and that Mrs May discovers some backbone to turn the screw now that their are some cracks showing in the phony 'all pals together' act that the EU 27 have been evincing so far.

They need our money, they need our trade and (at long last) that seems to be concentrating the minds that matter ...

I go along with that.
Given what May's already offered, any deal, vague or otherwise, from the Germans ought to sent alarm bells ringing with every citizen in the UK.
SEND !!!!!!!
And what is a, "deal?"
Keeping EU tariffs on our borders to make imports from other countries more expensive? For what?

Bring on WTA rules!

This is the line I have consistently taken since the Reforendum result.

Trade is trade, and that will overcome anything and everything, including the beaurocracies that are intent on keping mationa manacled together with their odious restrictive practices.

When we go, the whole thing will collapse like a house of cards.
You people live in your own little fantasy world.
What would Milton Friedman make of Brexit?
I honestly don't know, but think he would be for it.
Chair - Eh? what? Is that it? No expansion? Just authoritative assertions? Oh well, guess that's OK then.
Oh but the people’s vote campaign has got over 400,000 signatures, apparently from both remain and Brexit voters???

What exactly does the UK want/need from an alliance wit the EU?

Whatever it is it should be sting free. Canada plus, plus, plus!

Oh dear. We are going ahead with potentially ruinous course, just so we can point score against a couple of as-beens?
