No.
yes
Mr. Khan was not the only one who allowed the blimp, I believe he and 28 others voted yes. Yet some people only " blame " mr, khan. ( I wonder why ).?
Yes.

Because the buck stops with the boss - just as it does with Mrs May and Mr Trump - but I don't see you asking the same question when they're criticised. I wonder why?

Almost the same reply that I was going to give.
Well, aog, this thread is about double standards. ;o)
No it’s not double standards.

It would certainly be double standards if the Mayor’s office demanded that the pieces be taken down.

Or it would be double standards if Camden council had approved the Trump blimp, but neither of these cases are true.

You cannot accuse two entirely separate entities of double standards. It makes no sense.
No I don't see double standards at all.
Sp, yes, I think you can. Double standards are endemic throughout society.
Yes you and the Mail have double standards.

You were against the Trump Blimp, but you are supporting these two murals. You need to be more consistent in future.
You can have double standards throughout society, but this story simply doesn’t prove it, as I’ve pointed out in my previous post.

If the Mayor’s office gave the go ahead for a street party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, and Camden Council announced that no parties would be allowed in the borough, where would the double standards be located?

That analogy mirrors what we see in this story.
Street-art and its' appropriateness on this particular cafe has been an on-going battle between the owner and the Local Authority for over 12 months......

It can't be compared with the Trump-blimp in any way, unless by sulky-sorts who are determined to see double-standards where they don't exist...
Gromit, aog hasn't said he supports the murals. He's asking if allowing one perceived insult and disallowing another amounts to doubt standards.
*double* not doubt. Blinking predictive text.
Okay - to clarify...exactly who is being accused of double standards here?

Mayor Khan or Camden Council?
sp, I can't answer for aog, but I read it as society.
‘Society’ has double standards?
Is society an entity, or is society everyone? I am totally blameless in this case, so everyone cannot have double standards.
All very confusing.
Gromit. //Is society an entity//

Believe it or not, that is a subject of serious debate, but that aside, society has expectations and it makes demands. The quest for diversity, the furore over Trump, the penchant for defending Islam – object to any of those things at your peril.

Oh, society.

Yeah...seeing as society is made up of many disparate people who all disagree about everything, yes - society has double standards.

No...not quite, society has multi-standards.

Fascinated to see how AOG ties a bow on this one.
