Not very nice for a three year old to speak to adults in such a way, don't you think?

/// She may be only three-years-old, but Princess Charlotte showed off her confident nature with a cheeky remark as she left her brother Prince Louis' christening. ///

/// The little Princess who was walking hand-in-hand with her father Prince William after the service at the Royal Chapel at St James's Palace told waiting photographers: 'You're not coming.' ///

/// To make sure her point was understood she kept a watchful eye on the media pack over her shoulder to ensure everyone remained in
place. ///

'Unlike some'

For 'some' read 'everybody but AOG'.
As my Mum would say - hope I never become so 'twitter and bisted'.

/// aopg, this thread is nonsense. ///

If you are correct, strange that it has attracted so much response.
It hasn't attracted anyone who agrees with you, though, has it....?
^Ditto to that.
Could have been worse, she could have been drinking out can of coke ?
Actually, there appears to be shades of agreement from Spath. Just sayin............
it's not a vote, and the winner gets to tell charlotte off though. AOG is entitled to his opinion. Children's roles in society were different 80 odd years ago (which is how old i imagine him to be) than today - they were seen and not heard. i for one am glad that i can treat my daughter as a person with thoughts and feelings of her own rather than repressing her into silence. i think it works out ok, as she is generally very nice and polite, but then i would say that wouldn't i?

/// AOG is entitled to his opinion. ///

Well glory be, I didn't think anyone would say that, thanks.

/// i for one am glad that i can treat my daughter as a person with thoughts and feelings of her own rather than repressing her into silence. ///

It is not about repressing any child into silence, but it is about bringing your child up correctly, if for instance your young child came out with a rather rude swear word, wouldn't any decent parent, tell that child that, that sort of language was not allowed?
Where does *that* fit in with the original scenario, AOG?

Or are you shifting the goalposts to generate a more positive outcome for your thread?
Have you had many conversations with a three year old?

Daddy : Don't say that'
Charlotte : But I asked you if they were coming and you said 'no'.
Daddy : I know I did, but you shouldn't say it....

Three hours later...

Charlotte : But why?
lol Mamy, bang on.
yes i would, but charlotte did NOT come out with a swear word as i read the report
You can't correct a young child until he/she has done something wrong. What don't you understand about that, AOG?

You don't sit a 3 year old down and explain all the things they aren't allowed to do. They learn as they grow.

/// Have you had many conversations with a three year
old? ///

Many, I have three Great Grandchildren, and when they were 3 year old, and they told an adult that they were not coming to a certain function that my wife and I were holding, I would rightly tell them not to be so rude.
Would you have been surrounded by paps at the time?
Well if they were invited it may be seen as incorrect , however in this case it was factual and not at all rude.

Simply said with the directness a three year old possesses.
