As much as I am a staunch remained, I think Blair is overdoing it.

Not necessarily. Blair got his credentials from years of questionable opinions and decisions. However remainers who want to thwart the demonstrated will of the country are being undemocratic, and those who make speeches and actively campaign for it open themselves to the belief that they are, and some might express that opinion.

Why would you think Blair holds any sway? Remainers grasping at straws will welcome any old piffle that suits their purpose, but he wields no influence over this country’s affairs. His moment is long gone - thank goodness.

No, we didn’t. We joined the Common Market because it was thought, at the time, to be beneficial to trade. That, basically, is all it was about. Unfortunately, that Common Market morphed into something quite different – the monster that it has become.
