The SNP are used to showboating and strutting at Holyrood but cannot understand that gesture politics is not a good option at the Mother of all democratic systems worldwide. Send them home to think again.

Unsure what the complaint is about. "policy in devolved areas that is currently decided in Brussels is being reclaimed by Westminster". Of course it is. The devolved areas are still part of the UK and so Brexit ensures Brussels won't be sticking it's nose in, in future. As it's a UK transition it's logically controlled by the UK government and after we've exited decided where control should end up. I get the impression that this is just nonsense brought up in the hope of delaying things, presumably in the hope of causing the whole of the UK issues.
If I understand this correctly the UK parliament/government has said it will not devolve the powered to start with simply because it would disrupt the smooth (ish) exit. But they will get the ‘powers’ back when everything is settled.
I think that is eminently reasonable.
Once done and dusted they can be given back. Posturing about power grabs is sensationalist propaganda that just feeds NS desire for independence.

Perhaps they see the EU being difficult for seven year. Perhaps they don’t trust NS to play nicely. Perhaps they have put a longer than needed end date to exceed expectations when it takes less time. Perhaps they envision some things taking longer than expected. Perhaps with the dummy slinging attitude of the SNP they expect to have to babysit for a while to get them back up to speed.
But have you contacted TM and asked her why they have given a max of seven years? And that is a max. Not a minimum.

Rather a lot of perhaps in there Cassa, perhaps the SNP don't trust the Tories not to sell off the Scottish NHS, the brand name Scotch, to allow Fracking on Scottish land etc. The Scottish government has acknowledged that some areas need to have UK wide agreements but they should be agreed by all devolved parliaments not forced on them without agreement.
They cannot cope with the powers they already have, the police, NHS, education are a mess, they want Westminster to keep the powers of benefits until 2021 because they don't have the systems in place. They are demanding more powers but clearly they cant be trusted with the ones they have. They are an embarrassment to Scotland.
