I make no apologies for repeating what I say every time calls for him to resign crop up - if the fact of him leaving his position greatly reduced crime then he should go today.

You think it would?

mamy....I don't see it that way.......I see it that IF he is responsible for the increase in crime, then he should go........as punishment so to speak.
However, i cannot convince myself that he is in anyway responsible for the escalation of crime in the capital.
Nor can I sqad.
I think there's a difference between taking responsibility, as Khan has rightly done, and being responsible.
Of course he is not responsible - do people think London was all roses and rainbows under prev mayors and as soon as a non white non christian mayor is there the horned devil takes over?
Blimey - race and religion shoehorned into a thread where race and religion is irrelevant.
Better off reading what's said below the video because, as per, the Sun have extracted just that bit that makes it sound if he is accepting total responsibility. He re-iterates what the police chief said yesterday, and many of us have known for some time, that cuts in the police force have greatly reduced their ability to fight and solve crime. Not rocket science, is it?
Oh come on DD you know as well as I do what this is all about - its the same thing that has been brought up everytime he is discussed and london is and that is he is letting he 'people' away with murder.
Cuts have nothing to do with this problem, if plod are so short of personnel why are they spending so much time and effort on hate crime and chasing up dead peoples crime. Fine it you are in control of the streets but they are not so first things first - get control and the right-on policing can wait.

Khan is responsible in as much as he should have been as vocal on this as he was on Trump or getting bikini's banned fro the underground adverts.

"Many have hated him since he became mayor simply because of his religion and skin colour it's actually sickening. "

What I find sickening is you writing that. You have no evidence and are simply using it to defend his weaknesses. I thought we had moved on from that.
/// If it was boris you would all be blaming immigration. Many have hated him since he became mayor simply because of his religion and skin colour it's actually
sickening. ///

I think that many blame immigration now, we never had such problems before this mix of cultures.
He can’t be ‘blamed’ as such but I do wonder if his attitude towards it is similar to his attitude towards Islamic terrorism in that it’s all part and parcel of living in a big city. Too complacent and not doing enough? Perhaps.
ymf; "cuts have nothing to do with this problem."
Meanwhile, back on planet Earth.................

"Oh come on DD you know as well as I do what this is all about..."

Actually I don't .

I don't believe people are blaming Sadiq Khan because of his race or ethnicity - that would be totally illogical. I have a Mayor who just happens not be be white. So what.

The odd nutcase may, but to suggest that this is all it is about is plainly wrong, so crowbarring his colour and religion into the thread to make it a race and muslim issue is just silly.
Always thought he was a lightweight. A middling degree, a short legal career (you guessed, immigration and rights) and only there because of a truly terrible campaign by Goldsmith and the Tories.
A Blairite, bland, knee-jerk pol.
//I think that many blame immigration now, we never had such problems before this mix of cultures. //

How far back into history please AOG?
