/// Sir Martin was forced to admonish several people who yelled their approval and then applauded Mr Kebede’s lawyer as he spoke on the issue of racial discrimination. ///
And should The Grenfell Tower tenant Behailu Kebedein in whose flat the fire started, be called upon to give evidence himself and not through his lawyer?

They are the only major racial group that I can see who were not provided with an affordable flat in one of the most expensive areas of the country.
The inquiry is a waste of time as there will be a large number of people who will never be satisfied unless mass prosecutions for murder are launched.

Yes, I would like to hear from him, if only to refute the rumours that have been circulated on certain Facebook and Twitter threads by...cough cough...patriotic native Britons (I believe this is the favoured ‘euphemism de jour’).

The Daily Mail's immediate coverage of the blaze reported that the blaze had started in the flat of a tall white man. It was careful to state that the occupant spoke with an English accent, that he packed a suitcase and left the building, ignoring the plight of other people in the block. There were over 2,000 posts in no time, all horribly racist. There was a real lynch mob mentality on display. Once the correct details were published the mood abruptly took a distinctly conciliatory tone. All of the the initial posts were quickly removed and any references to them were removed. I haven't seen a mention of this anywhere. I wonder why?
The people of Grenfell repeatedly complained that the refurbishment was not up to standard
It wasnt - and so 90 or so people died - all which was avoidable if they had been listened to
so why oh why are they whining about the deaths of their dearest ones ? I agree with AOG
money wont resurrect them - not even thirty pieces of silver [ beg pudding a bit biblical there ]
so it MUST be that they want 1) fifteen minutes of fame and 2) a great big fat demnity cheque
there can be no other possible reason......
