I trust you’ve all been out on your push irons earlier as I have?

Me and Mrs Z have! Got them out of the garage, blew the tyres up, cleaned em down, oiled the cogs n stuff, sprayed wd40 where required and off we went. Only 8 miles but it’s a start!

///Improved mood and reduced stress///

Cycles may well do that for the cyclist, the Lycralouts we have around here have exactly the opposite affect on Motorists.

Well done ZM! It’s still 8 miles further than everyone on the settee!
Keep it up, it’s worth it.

Yeah, death and destruction everywhere they go.....

Jeezus Baldric, give it a rest.

We intend to, Chill. Might do the route again later!
I do hope all the cyclists out today have kept off the pavements and pedestrian crossings......although I doubt many have bothered to stay within the law. So many are simply dangerous. Bring back the cycling proficiency badges....and stingers for pavements....

Shall we play tit for tat all day? Can’t recall a cyclist causing this kind of mayhem or destruction?

Chill, I don't tell you what to post or not post, so would be grateful if you would extend the same courtesy to me, I have merely given my opinion.
Well, we did. 90% of the roads we were on didn’t have pavements and 100% didn’t have crossings of any type.

Well I was trying to keep it light hearted and encouraging Baldric so thanks for the derailment.
What was that saying from Bambi: If you haven’t got something nice to say.....
You could exercise once in a while, surely?
Can't join in today, Chill....in Devon for birthday treats but what has struck me as I've been driven around is the number of cyclists on the narrow country lanes.....and how the locals accept, as they should, that cyclists are as entitled to use the lanes to cycle as motorists are to drive.....
No aggrivation......no overtaking dangerously......no grumpy motorists....
Just motorists who know how to drive well and drive patiently when required.......such a treat after the muppets behind the wheels that I encounter in Northants....and elsewhere it seems...... x

///You could exercise once in a while, surely?///

I walk a good few miles every day with the Dogs, and work out every other day in home gym usually with Tash, so I do exercise on a regular basis.
Stick wrong end of eh?

It's a skill I never mastered any further than stabiliser status - no one could ever understand why.

Now alas, too seized up, enjoy your exercise however you get it.

Same here gness, just the one today who I signalled not to overtake on a blind bend as there was a car coming but he ignored.
The rest...a pleasure to share the road with, plenty of toots of thanks from cars and motorbikes alike when calling them on whilst on blind bends.
Restores your faith when they’re happy to share the road responsibly.
Sharing the road is something many motorists find it so hard to do, Chill.
They see a cyclist or even a post about cycling and become aggressive immediately...which makes for a bad and dangerous driver. X
We watched a group cycle through our village this morning on vintage bicycles. The group included three on penny-farthings.
MWG...I can only imagine the agony of a penny farthing ......how do you get off one......fall?...x

That's the way to do it!
