\\Poor ticket sales for the event, which has failed to attract top-tier acts, are causing consternation among Jeremy Corbyn’s team with less than three weeks to go.//

Perhaps he could get Geldof, Lily allen and that stormyzzz bloke to appear for free, at glasto people had no choice but to stand and watch him but given the option they would rather not.

It was simply an ill thought out notion, not surprised no-one's going x
I'm no fan of JC (and I'm unsurprised that there's not a massive rush for tickets to his big event) but I can't agree with "at glasto people had no choice but to stand and watch him".

There are around a dozen main stages at Glastonbury, plus about 20 more smaller ones, with roughly 50 other entertainment venues (e.g. in tents) as well.

While JC's initials might suggest that he's an omnipresent being, I doubt that he could actually be on every stage at once.
I'd have thought all the lefty luvvies would have been queuing up for this!
ALL , Members of the Labour Party are invited.
//ALL , Members of the Labour Party are invited. //

that makes the event sound like it's going to be like a Nuremberg Rally. in fact it's a publicly accessible event which anyone can attend, and i'm puzzled why you've not highlighted that.

If you are stood at the front by the stage waiting for a band to come on and Corbyn walks on you dont really have much choice but to stand and watch.
I'm with kvalidir on this - it was a bad idea from people who should learn to stick within their own skills base.

Promoting and staging big events takes experience, planning, contacts, deep pockets, and a bullet-proof advance knowledge of a potential audience.

Clearly the Labour Party were seriuously out of their depth - the only question is, why did no-one at the sharp end realise that well before the idea got out of the room where it was first mentioned?

I could have told them this was heading south for free!!
You are missing the point mushroom, who on this thread Bragged about joining the Labour Party and only paid £3. All members should attend.
I'm with Andy on this. Remember the Sheffield debacle? Wouldn't you think they'd have learned from that?
//All members should attend. //

you're making it sound like Nuremberg again.......
The Conservatives no longer reveal their membership numbers, having dropped to an embarrassing low figure.

Just saying.
Whats happening in UK politics ? it seems like its,
Ooooh Jeremy Corbyn, Ooooh Tommy Robinson, but its
