Of course there can be Tory ethnic minorities.

The comments in the attached thread are from anonymous commentators on Twitter. Why are they given importance?

Tariq Mahmood isn't anonymous - he's a labour activist from Peterborough.
Charming! Absolutely bloody charming! Then again, that's Labour for you.
Racist. Nothing we wouldn't expect from the fascist hate mongers of the extreme left.
...and Steve Brookstein won the first series of the X Factor.
all pretty standard stuff from the nasty party.
But to answer your question - yes, black and Asian people can be members of whatever party they choose.

Even the BNP has to allow black members now.
I wonder whether they would call Diane Abbott, shadow Home Secretary, a coconut?
I don't understand, he hasn't just joined the Tories has he? They seem to be unhappy that he is now HS, strange, but I have learnt not to look for any sort of logic from the Hard left.

Re: Steve Brookstein...have a look at your link again.
By the way, have a look at this:

[i]Tariq Mahmood said the Facebook comment on his personal account was to do with the shape of Sajid Javid’s head and that he could have used the words “turnip” or “egghead” instead.[i]

Absolute cobblers. Typical of racist morons...they ALWAYS try to wriggle out of it when they’re caught. This chap is no different.

By the way - he’s not a member of the Labour Party, according to the Peterborough Telegraph:

Of course there are BAME people in all walks of life and politics.

No, they are not betraying any heritage they are just supporting what they believe in like anyone else.
Is BAME now going to be the new acronym? How tiresome. As I understand it black people are minority ethnic so why the distinction?
Just the 'in' thing JD.

I agree with you but just easier to go with the flow.
the Tories seem to have policies for them...
