I’d like to distance myself from this group before anyone suggests they may fit in with my views expressed on here.

No they’re not. Anyone with half a brain could research the complexity and extrapolate the issues which would (and have) arise (arisen).

Oh it's clearly more than that. It's a last ditch attempt to see if project fear has changed the minds of sufficient numbers such that the democratic decision already made can be twarted. To see if a majority can be persuaded to create an image of our nation as a weak indecisive group, unable to follow through plans, and whom one need not take seriously.
If anyone wants a straw poll on how good the final negotion result was yet them start one on a website somewhere. And lobby their MP to revisit any failures of the team to extract us properly and renegotiate after the event. Agreements change all the time and perhaps both sides may want better trade agreements after a few years of experiencing what actually occurs.

The difficulty is that the 2016 referendum asked simply if we should remain or leave. It did not ask whether we should remain or "leave, provided it did not turn out to be too inconvenient".
Many Leavers realised that extracting ourselves from a political union that we had been part of for four decades would be cumbersome. But that is not a valid reason for remaining. The idea of a vote on the terms is ridiculous (at least under Mr Stewart's scenario anyway). The only alternative to the electorate not accepting the "deal" is to remain in the EU. So you return to the principle that we should only leave provided it does not cause too much trouble. Personally I don't want ant "deal" that the EU might offer the UK simply because if it is acceptable to the EU it will almost certainly be unacceptable to the UK. The EU does not do "compromise".

I can't see Jean-luc being very welcome back in Hipperholme (he went to school there) which was awash with 'Leave' posters.
We are going to leave. A divorce is a divorce as I think cassa pointed out. It was never going to be sweetness and light with co-operation from the EU. Their intransigence and viciousness is even troubling some long-standing member states.
If we don't like the deal then we do without a deal; which is why we must prepare to leave on WTO conditions if necessary. Personally, I'm almost ready to go to the Bookies and put solid cash on 'no deal', too many last-moment vetos could be applied. My only check is that I am very unsure that our government has the courage to just go and will fawningly give all ground asked for in return for a few crumbs.

No exactly, it isn't a divorce but it is used to describe leaving more often than not.
But the point is unless the EU allow us to stay we are leaving even if the numpties vote to remain or not accept the carp deal the EU will offer.
However have they time to get enough REAL support to get this new referendum sorry, people's vote?
