Politics and religion is not my thing as. I find to argue about them you can go round in circles and get nowhere and lose friends in doing so,what I would like to say is Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn don’t fill me with enthusiasm to vote Labour, I have said on here before I am sure she is not quite right and yet if she has something wrong with her someone would have noticed by now and before anyone says her colour has nothing to do with my opinion , and yet what is the alternative to voting labour

Conservative?
there is no alternative you have GOT TO VOTE LABOUR
Both are quite boring subjects.

I wouldn't vote labour though.
I've had some dealings with Diane Abbott. There are issues that will, one day, surface.

my in-depth analysis of who to vote for is that it makes no difference, they all cock it up when they're in power

Don't vote. It only encourages them.
So jordyboy9 , what is your thing ?

If you don't vote you have absolutely no right to moan about anything the next government does. don't abdicate your responsibility ot make your country the best version of itself it can be by electing the right people to do that. One thing that makes me furious is people not voting. WHY?
Kval...you're asking that but you're savvy and read up. Some people shouldn't vote as they know nothing about politics and/or politicians. I still think they have the right to moan. It's not their fault they are politically stupid :-D

I wonder if she ^^^ means Labour Voters ?
Hi kvaldir I don't vote because i can't stand any of our politicians ..never have any interest in politics or who runs the country I'm 60 this year as since I can remember it's either tory or labour in power both useless as far as I'm concerned I'm sorry I annoy you x
Yeah Ummm that's true, but I think political awareness is something that ought to be addressed in schools so people get used to making themselves aware of what's going on, and no I don't just mean Labour voters, everyone imho ought to familiarise themselves with what is going on in their own country. Doesn't matter if you vote for May or Corybyn or whoever else, just have an opinion, and if you don't understand something make an effort to find out about it.
Tbh I agree with you Volty, they are all a shower, however it's pick the best of a bad job and lobby and press for the changes you want.
I agree with Atalanta. If there is nobody you 100% want in- and i don't trust any of them, you have the right not to vote. The worst thing imo is to just vote for the "least worse" or tactical voting. Sometimes I think the best outcome would be a turnout of 0%... so they might have to rethink the whole charade.
Of my three kids only one of them has any interest in politics.

It's like trying to teach someone who hates football the off side rule. It goes in one ear and out the other. It's very hard to retain information on subjects that bores the pants off you.
The problem is that unless you live in a marginal seat, of which there are about a hundred at most, your vote will have no influence. If you live in a rock-solid Labour seat but you are Tory, it's frankly a waste of good shoe leather to traipse out and vote.
