Mr Corbyn has got an interesting juggling act coming up - how can labour not be anti semitic whilst still being seen to be bestest buddies with Hamas?

Possibly you need not be against Jews themselves in order to sympathise with Palestinian issues.
^Indeed, but unfortunately Labour's grasp of reality isn't the best as is evidenced by Ken Livingstone's gross stupidity when he claimed - and recently repeated his claim - that Hitler was a Zionist.
It is going to be a difficult one but then isnt that what all leaders have to do?

My guess is that he will hope time will heal if he keeps his head down, Controlling his Brownshirts during that time may be a bit problematic though.
Jeremy Corbyn usually loves a demonstration. Street politics is his politics, and Parliament Square protests are in his lifeblood. Tonight, however, when the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Jewish Leadership Council rally outside Westminster at 5.30pm, the Labour leader is unlikely to attend. Ahead of the 6pm weekly meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP), the Jewish community protestors will deliver a withering joint letter accusing Corbyn of “again and again, siding with anti-semites”.

That's one of the disadvantages of trying to be all things to all men. Eventually someone comes bottom of the pile.
Labour are riddled with anti semitism and pro terrorism from Top to bottom, hard to see that changing. A Labour voter must decide that they are prepared to tolerate that
If you’re going to tell a lie, make it a Big One (Goebbels, wasn’t it?)

So now the right-wing scum, some of whom wash up here pretty often, are jumping on the bandwagon of slandering Jeremy Corbyn, in a futile attempt to discredit him.

Won’t wash, white van men and women, The British are far too bright to fall for that bunch of tripe again!

Go snuffle in some other trough.
...so you deny Agent Cob has supported Hamas, IRA? Do you deny that the Labour party is stacked full of anti semites? I support your right to be left wing but why do you have to support a demonstrably anti British party?
Could we not just put the shorthand buzz-word enthusiasts (anti semitic and islamophobic) in a room and let them shout at each other while the rest of us get on with real life?

It's all very wearying.

the text of the deputies' letter is here, together with Mr Corbyn's reply:-

bainbrig, if the deputies' letter is "one big lie", i'm curious to understand why Mr Corbyn has felt the need to apologise in response, rather than to repudiate the points raised by the deputies.
The WHOLE of this attack on labour is One Big Lie, perpetrated by the right-wing and their foolish lackies, many of who make their pig-ignorant comments round here.
perhaps you'd put us straight then, I am unaware of any untruths in this context.

//The WHOLE of this attack on labour is One Big Lie,//

if that's true, then Mr Corbyn has no need to apologise for anything. and yet that's just what he has done. I can't fathom that at all, bainbrig. could you explain please?

and try to do so without resorting to calling other users on this forum "scum", please - that's breaking the Site Rules, don'tcha know.
And accusing a lifelong fighter against racism (Jeremy Corbyn) of being a racist ISN'T against the rules of this site? Blimey.

Idiots.
Like I said on another thread. Labour always self-destructs because there are too many angry twits in it.
bainbrig, the perception that Jeremy Corbyn is racist isn't against Site Rules but I believe calling people idiots might be.
Your name shall also go on the list..What is it?

Don't tell him Naomi!
Haaa!
I thought you could call anyone an idiot as long as they are not a member here? I must have called Diane Abbott an idiot at some time or other or many times actually.
