can't find a link, perhaps someone else can, but i am glad that this lunatic got life in prison and must serve at least 34 years. It could have rivalled 7/7 bombings in the capital. He's only young so a whole life inside gives him ample time to reflect on his heinous actions.

The 34 years IS NOT the minimum sentence it is his Tariff. A Tariff is just the minimum time he must serve before he can even start the process of appeal for release on parole. It normally takes 3 to 5 years to get from the initial parole application to a decision. Then a first decision is more likely to be negative than positive. If it is negative the entire appeal process goes back to square one,so another 3 to 5 years.
All in all, he can expect to be inside at least another 10 years after serving his tariff. Even then it is only a release on conditional licence, not full release. He can be recalled to prison for any breach of the conditions of his licence.

"The government will apply for parole on your behalf if you have a life or indeterminate sentence - you don’t need to do anything. You’ll be contacted:

This young man confessed that he had been trained by Islamic State, so why was he being considered for asylum, being fostered, and free to commit a terrorist act? He should have been deported sharpish.

I do agree with that bit. Why not try another tactic and use their religion back at them. So long as the nutter is locked up I have not problem with such words. It just may make someone think again if it was published enough.

Most religious books can be interpreted as one see fit. The Bible is pretty violent and controlling too, if you want it to be. Encouraging people to look to a more positive and inclusive view of it surely cant be knocked? (So long as the judges dont use it as an excuse for lenient sentencing)
