It was the Novichok class of deadly nerve agent used in Salisbury.
This is a Soviet/Russian-made poison.
What happens now I wonder ...

I’ve rarely seen any politician more angry.

The Russians don't forgive, and they don't forget.
Question Author
Hopefully they will find out - belatedly - that Britain does not forgive or forget either.
Wow, ISIS must really have done their best to make it look like the Russians... :/
Question Author
The scary thing about this is that they must have known they’d be found out. This is a row they obviously want.
//The Russians don't forgive, and they don't forget.\\

How true. They pursued Trotsky all the way to Mexico to stick an ice pick in his head. From my point of view we have no quarrel with the Russians. Soviets, yes, Russians no.
Question Author
Mercader stuck an ice pick in the head of an enemy of Stalin.
These people sprayed a military grade chemical weapon in a British town centre. Apart from gravely affecting a man and his innocent daughter, hospitalising one of our police officers. And potentially endangering scores of others (Just as they did in 2006)
And Britain has no quarrel with the Kremlin??
Um ...

We forgive them for humiliating us in Syria.
And of course if we cut up too rough they'll simply cut off our gas - and they won't need a Smart Meter to do it.
Question Author
We don't get a significant amount of gas from Russia.
(it should not be forgotten that Russia needs to sell its gas as well as others need to buy it, but thanks to the EU its stranglehold on Europe's gas supplies has been loosened).
I think we can take it as pretty much certain that the Russians will fail to come up with anything remotely ressembling a convincing explanation for this by tomorrow evening.
So it will be interesting to see what we do.
If someone can prove to me without shadow of a doubt that the Russians are the blame then I will bck all action to the hilt.

However all I see at the moment is supposition and guesswork. "highly likely " is not enough. We saw this with Bliar so once bitten twice shy.
Question Author
It’s plainly more than supposition and guesswork. Novichok class agents exist only in Russia or no doubt in some laboratories around the world.
Of course I predict that Putin and co will say they cooked this stuff up at Porton Down down the road to blacken Russia.

And speak up Donald: he’s been uncharacteristically quiet on this
