John Crace, of the Guardian, has long called our Prime Minister “The Maybot”, because of her seemingly total inability to behave in anything other than a robotic fashion. Now, I see that Matthew Parris, of the Times, has written an article calling her “Hologram May” which makes her seem even less “substantial”, if that were possible! Parris is a Tory and an ex-MP who was Thatcher’s secretary and who writes a regular column for The Times, a notably right-wing paper.
Because I am unsure whether the link to the article I provided above will pass The Times’ pay-wall, I’ll provide a little detail here:
In the article, which tells of a group of people (Tories?) on a jungle expedition (Brexit-negotiations?) someone is sent to tell the Maybot something and – as he tries sorrowfully to hug her – his arms pass clean through her. That’s when he discovers she is nothing but (quote) “a triumph of 3D technology”.
How accurate a description is this of the governing party we currently have?

For a while I have considered May to be a shapeshifter. She just bends to whatever character is needed on the day. There are occassional missfires to her shapeshifting. You may remember Strong and Stable May who did not turn up, and Weak and Feeble May took her place that week.
not at all accurate.
Bring on the Mogg.

Seconded. That would be very funny.
Lord Hain:
“It makes me despair that a Government this chaotic and incompetent is negotiating something as complex and important as Brexit”

How or why May is being allowed to remain as leader is beyond me. Maybe no one else wants to be until Brexit is achieved?
