Yet we are accused of being racist, Far-Right and even worse, if we peacefully protest against our own 'economic' migrants and we are stuck permanently with them, not just during the summer months.

Old story
I expect they will get as much stick too - however I do have some sympathy with them, the behaviour of some Brits abroad in Magaluf is abominable.
I don't understand the point of your post AOG (not for the first time)
Are you saying that these protesters are being hailed as some sort of heroes?
"The 12 Arran members face court in March and could be fined €1,200 (£1,064) each."
Doesn't sound like it.
doesn't Spain rely on a lot of tourism, same as Greece....
Living in Blackpool, I have some sympathy with them.
Visitors seem to leave their good sense, manners and morals somewhere else when they have time away by the sea.

Trying to compare this with 'economic migrants' and the problems there is a bit of a reach.....even for you.
i have some sympathy too, but its not just the Brits who behave badly, having seen Germans, French and Americans not behaving well.
Don't you just hate news sites that start up videos without getting your permission first ? And if not, why not ?

If they're against excessive numbers of tourists then they should speak to the authorities about licencing fewer rooms/apartments. Not take it out on the public.
I do have sympathy with the locals and can understand the post of JTh,to which I concur.

Mrs sqad shops in Palma Majorca and sometimes seven cruise ships arrive in the morning which equates to 20,000 passengers poring into the city. The shops are packed and when Mrs sqad commented, the shop assistant said
"Yes,we are packed with tourists, but they are not buying anything."

Quite a problem as well as the behaviour of the holidaymakers.
One needs to make the most out of the potential by finding out what would attract them to buy, then offering it. Sounds like a missed opportunity.
I never fail to marvel at your welding together of unrelated events, AOG.
As Ich has pointed out, they’ve been arrested and fined. What more would you like to happen?
AOG....this has nothing to do with "economic" migrants.

This is all about tourists behaving badly when abroad.

Why do you constantly confuse simple issues like this ?
Well remembered Talbot. The highlight of the thread was AOGs use of the word ‘economic tourists’.

It is because I made it so, but of course some of you would choose to ignore the fact that we also have a problem with our guest the difference being though, their guests are holiday makers who are adding to Spain's economy.

‘economic tourists’

where did he say that then?
why dont we nuke Muh-jorka ?
it will be a benefit to all parties
// where he say dat den //
do my eyes deceive me ?
surely this is life imitating art ?
AOG....Nobody is denying that we have problems with ecomonic migrants, but this issue is not about that.

Its a problem that some Spanish people have, with the behaviour of some tourists. If you had aimed this post at any similar problems about the way that foreign tourists behave in Britain, then you point would be valid, but you didn't.

What this really is, for you, is yet another badly disguised rant about immigration, and that is why are pointing this out to you.

Start a thread about immigration into Britain if you like.....that is your privilege and I have no wish to stifle debate. But do it honestly and don't go looking for completely different news topics and then attempt to obfuscate the issue.
Spain also has botheration with 'economic migrants' in addition to having to deal with inconsiderate tourists.

It's exactly the same as here.

Except you are comparing their 'tourists' with our 'migrants'.......and they don't.
Well said jack....a common sense answer post !
